I do hope you enjoy browsing around my gallery as much as I have enjoyed creating it!

I am passionate about my art work. I love nothing more than to get out into the garden after the rain, I see droplets of water on a leaf or flower head and immediately have to capture it with my camera. Alternatively, you will find me on the beach taking pictures of the sun reflecting off the pebbles and rock pools. I am then desperate to print off the image and set to work with my paints! (The photos are not enough for me, I have to turn them into works of art!).
I am obsessive about colour and texture, often using sand, grit or textured paste to create the look I desire. Therefore acrylic paint is the perfect medium for me. I use good quality paint and 40 mm box canvases, (and continue my painting around the sides). My rock pool paintings generally being 24” x 18”. I like to step into my paintings working from within “polishing each pebble” as I go! I use a combination of matt and gloss varnish to enhance my paintings, which I realise is not orthodox but works for me.
I like to think I have a different view on local landscapes. I like to get “up close and personal” with things I see around me. I want to help others to appreciate the beauty around them that perhaps they do not have time to see for themselves. I would like everyone who studies my paintings to feel the joy I feel as I paint them and always encourage them to touch the texture.
When involved in my work I am filled with a sense of exhilaration and don’t want to stop, often working well into the night!
I love life and try to reflect this in my work.

I have recently returned to the world of jewellery design - back to my roots actually as this was where I started years ago. My designs, in sterling silver or cold enamel can be viewed in my jewellery gallery. My jewellery can also be viewed and purchased through my online shop at Folksy.com/Beads of Inspiration
