I was born in Oxford. I moved to Saltdean, East Sussex in 1971 and consider myself very privileged to live here. I have always been creative. At school I was the one drawing at the back of the classroom during the maths class!!Over the years my creative side has been channelled into painting murals, hand painted butterflies, pressed flower jewellery, designing and making hats and clothes! I had a craft shop at the Ocean Hotel in Saltdean for a while, selling not only my own work but that of other local craft people.
It is only over these last three years that I discovered the joy of working with Acrylic paint. I love colour and texture. I am happiest when I can incorporate loads of colour, sand, grit, even string into my pictures! I also have a bit of a “fetish” over painting raindrops! I love nothing more than to get out into the garden with my camera after the rain!
I enjoy painting anything, from pets, portraits, flowers, but recently have been specialising in rock pools! I work from my own photographs, and can be seen on the beach at low tide taking photos.
